Yoga Nidra: A Tool for Combating Sleep Deprivation
Dr. Huberman discusses a tool that improves focus if you are sleep deprived. Yoga Nidra, or nonsleep deep rest (NSDR), is the process of lying down for about 10-30 minutes, listening to a script, and deep relaxation. This process is very therapeutic as studies have shown that it restores dopamine levels in the basal ganglia. Huberman then goes into how he does NSDR and the benefits of NSDR as it pertains to sleep.
